Apilan Signs Agreement to Deliver Web Tools to Contra Costa Count’s Head Start Programs Apilan delivers first round of web-applications to strengthen staff productivity and quality of services for Contra Costa’s Head Start programs

Los Angeles, CA- April 24, 2001 Apilan Inc., the premier one stop infrastructure application provider, announced today it has signed an agreement to provide web applications solutions to Contra Costa County Head Start Programs (CCCHS). This agreement has been signed to support and further strengthen Costa County Head Start Programs with the purpose to provide its administrators and staff with web technology to increase productivity and quality of services.

Apilan has completed the first round of web applications for Contra Costa Head Start Programs that include solutions on work flow automation and Web Communities. This technology will be used to manage the programs’ administrative processing such as purchase requisition, activity reports and work request, increasing communication while eliminating staff inefficiency and work redundancy.

CCCHS, like many businesses, managed it processes and procedures through paper documents and handwritten signatures. Given the scale of the organization and the legal requirements as a Head Start federally funded program, the volume of paper generated was very large. Even more tedious was the time involved with managing the routing and reporting off the resulting information.

According to Tony Colon, the Executive Director of the Contra Costa County Head Start Program, this is the first of many projects where the two groups will be working together.
